Kukio Beach Wedding: Sheena and Wesley

Kona Wedding Photographer- Robert Malovic

Living in Hawaii, we often forget what time of the year it is. The seasons tend to blend together, and empathy for those weathering mainland winters gets faded by the Hawaiian sunshine. Sheena and Wesley chose to escape their home state of Minnesota and get married Hawaiian style at Kukio beach. Thanks for looking.

Aloha,

Robby

Brenna and Daniel: Secret Spot

Brenna and Daniel’s Big Island wedding was held at a very special and highly protected location. In fact, the caretaker insisted I don’t reveal its location. Their secret is safe with me. Enjoy!

Aloha,

Robby

McDonald Family

Big Island Family Photographer- Robert Malovic

This was a very special occasion for this incredibly warm, welcoming family. Everyone was reunited to celebrate their mom’s birthday on the Big Island. I instantly felt connected with everyone, and I had a wonderful time photographing this beautiful group of people on their Big Island, Hawaii getaway.

“Booking a photographer sight unseen over the Internet can be a little anxiety producing but I can’t say enough good things about Robby Malovic. He was personable, really flexible (when I thought it looked like rain was coming in) and he captured once in a life time moments for my family and me in both artsy and traditional forms. He’s also very nice and patient with kids- a big plus in my book. Book him!”

It was a pleasure to meet and photograph the Deng family during their stay on the Big Island. Capturing family memories for people is what I love the most about the work  I do.

Donna and Liam-Waialea Beach, Big Island of Hawaii

Big Island Photography: Donna and Liam

I felt very privileged to photograph these fun and beautiful expecting parents, Donna and Liam, while on their Big Island get away. We took them to one of our favorite Big Island beaches, Waialea Bay, commonly referred to as “Beach 69.” I especially love how easy it is to interact with the natural environment of Beach 69. Plus, we were fortunate to have the beach nearly all to ourselves, and the sunset was classic.

I had the distinct pleasure photographing our new friends, Melody and Jeremy, while on their Big Island vacation. We shared lots of laughter together, as I documented the anticipation of their upcoming little bundle of love.  Congratulations guys! You are going to be amazing parents.

Aloha,

Robby

Super Human: Billy Barnett

Not only can he run like the wind, Billy is pretty good on the “slack line” too. Look for Mr. Barnett crossing the finish line at  your local marathon.

Caught on Film: Blair and Dave-Polihale Beach, Kauai

Big Island Photographer: Robert Malovic

Ahhhhh, the grass is always greener…..Now that we have super sophisticated camera and lighting equipment, I felt the urge to pull out my old stainless steel Nikon FT3 film camera and snag a few shots of these two love birds. I took gamble with this shot as I aimed my camera directly into the sun without a flash or my trusty LCD screen. Could the past be the future?
